Where a platform publishes its own supplementary terms, those apply in addition to these Terms; in case of conflict, the platform-specific terms prevail for that platform.

2. Eligibility and accounts

3. Payments, subscriptions and billing

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: break any applicable law; infringe anyone's rights; upload malicious code; scrape, harvest or bulk-download content or data without our written consent; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system; resell or sublicense the Services; or use the Services to send spam or misleading material. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

5. Content and intellectual property

6. AI-generated and informational content

Some Services, in particular the Legal AI network (uaelaw.ai and its sister sites), use artificial intelligence to generate summaries, answers and explanations. This content is provided for general information only, may contain errors or omissions, and does not constitute legal, financial, tax or other professional advice. No lawyer–client relationship is created. Always verify important matters with a qualified professional. Directory listings, prices and availability are supplied by third parties or public sources and may be out of date.

7. Third-party services

The Services may link to or integrate third-party websites, suppliers, hotels, airlines, car-rental companies and payment providers. Those parties are governed by their own terms and privacy policies; we are not responsible for their content or performance except where the law says otherwise.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Avangate will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Avangate and its officers, employees and partners against claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Services.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Services or close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue a Service (with reasonable notice where practicable). Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal data across the Services.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version. Material changes will be announced on the relevant Service or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Arab Emirates. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence are not affected.
